Pastor Barbara Isaman-Bushart

Barb Isaman-Bushart

Barb has served as part of the pastoral team at Community of the Savior since her ordination andconference appointment by the Free Methodist Church USA in May 2011. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Houghton College, an MSW degree from Roberts Wesleyan College and an M.Div from Northeastern Seminary. She and her husband of 31 years, Warren, have attended CoS since 2007 and state that they “have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this growing, generous, and gifted congregation.” She and Warren have two grown daughters, Erin and Elyse, and a very spoiled Vizsla named Wesley. In addition to her pastoral role at CoS, she also is a part-time faculty member of SUNY Empire State College in the Community and Human Services Department. She worked in the Greater Rochester area as a professional social worker for many years, particularly in the field of disability advocacy, and she brings that passion to her service along with interests in social justice,  pastoral care, and intergenerational ministries.
