Pastor Dave retired from active pastoral ministry in 2015, after serving as Associate Pastor at New Hope FMC since 2005. He retired as an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church and previously completed his Master of Divinity degree at Northeastern Seminary. His ministry experiences ranged from Alpha Groups, BLOCK Ministry, and coffee making to zip crews for ventilator ducts. Areas of special interest were small groups focused on discipleship and current topics in real life, as well as individual mentoring.

Dave continued to work for the Rochester City School District as an Administrative Analyst, building comprehensive reports of students' standardized test scores and demographic data, as well as assembly of the Annual RCSD District Budget.

After retiring from RCSD, Dave took on a role and currently works with the Children’s Institute as an Information Analyst. His wife Baiba, also retired, was an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church and served most recently as an Associate Pastor at Community of the Savior congregation in Rochester. Their son Jonathan and his wife Jill live in St. Louis, where she is a Staff Nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (orthopedics) and he is a cognitive neuroscientist, Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University.
